Monday 22 July – Welcome reception

 

The Welcome Reception is taking place at Scandic Foresta, the conference venue and is included in your registration fee. Please join us to celebrate the opening of the conference and enjoy some Swedish food and culture.

   

Tuesday 23 July – Afternoon tours

 

A number of sightseeing tours are available on Tuesday afternoon. The tours are at your own cost and will be paid on the day. Maximum 20 people per tour.

   

Abba The Museum

At Abba The Museum you will not only be able to see original Abba memorabilia but with the power of virtual reality you can experience being on stage with Abba, dressing in some of their costumes and recording in their studio. The museum’s tagline is: Walk in. Dance out.

The Vasa Museum

Vasa, the most powerful warship in the Baltic at the time, sunk only minutes into its maiden voyage from Stockholm city centre in 1628. 333 years later the ship wreck was salvaged from the sea bed and is now the world’s only preserved 17th century ship. (Approx. entrance fee: SEK 150)

Since its opening in 2010 this art centre for photography has had exhibitions with legends like Annie Leibovitz and Robert Mapplethorpe but has also given room for new talent. After looking at the exhibitions (always one major and a few smaller ones) you can enjoy a drink in the museum restaurant with stunning views of Stockholm. (Approx. entrance fee SEK 155)

   

Under the bridges – boat trip

The city of Stockholm is best experienced from the water and this tour takes you around e.g. the Old town and the lush green areas of Djurgården. Pass under twelve brigdes and go through one of the locks connecting the Baltic Sea with lake Mälaren. (Approx. entrance fee SEK 300)

   

Visit to Södersjukhuset (hospital)

Wednesday 24 July – Official tour

 

Please join us for the official sightseeing tour of Stockholm – The tour is included in your registration and you will be guided by coach around Stockholm. You are welcome to bring an accompanying person for an additional fee of SEK 100.

   

Thursday 25 July – Conference dinner

The conference dinner will be served at restaurant Solliden situated in Stockholm’s open air museum Skansen. Attendance at the conference dinner is included in your registration. You are welcome to bring an accompanying person for an additional fee of SEK 800.
